And all this is thanks to Stefan Obreja, whose advanced and innovative vision, modern conception, and organizational spirit have left their mark on this dental clinic.

We asked Stefan Obreja for an interview, within the time he had available, which would give a better insight into his personality, which could serve as a model for other directors.

He talks about his experience managing the Life Dental Spa clinic in the following interview:

 

1. What vision, what model, what inspiration lay behind such a spectacular modernization in dentistry?

I believe that dental treatments should be painless, which is why the main focus of the Life Dental Spa clinic is on painless, minimally invasive treatments. These represent the future of dentistry.

 

2. Despite efforts to improve the healthcare system, we know that many regular hospitals are far from normal, let alone modern. Do you have any suggestions, opinions, or proposals that could help us get out of this situation? I am asking this question because it has become clear to me that you know what high standards in medicine mean.

Firstly, much more should be invested in education, as this is where most dental problems originate, which is why Romania ranks last in Europe in terms of oral hygiene and first in terms of dental problems.

 

3. As a CEO, what style do you lean towards and practice: maximum demands? Uncompromising? Partnership and tolerance? Democratic consultation with your team of specialists and staff? How would you define your own leadership style?

I have adapted my style greatly to Romanian culture. I believe in an agile style, with quick decisions tailored to market needs. Success is the responsibility of every team member through conscious leadership that prioritizes accessing the unlimited resources of people.

 

4. Of the many achievements over the years, which one is closest to your heart?

My greatest achievement is realizing that everything I have accomplished has been based on my own choice to create my own reality. I have created the life I wanted. All this with the support of the dedicated team I lead; without them, none of this would be possible. At LDS, anyone can go from receptionist to top management if they are 100% committed.

 

5. To paraphrase a famous quote, "Quo vadis, Domine?" Where are you headed? What's next? What is your ultimate goal for the coming years? Where do you see the Life Dental Spa brand in a few years? What surprises do you have in store for us in the future?

We want to become national leaders in a maximum of two years and international leaders in 10-15 years. It is a grand plan that can bring many benefits to those around us, solving one of the biggest problems: pain.

 

6. How and to what extent has being a CEO improved your quality of life?

Being a general manager has made me much more aware of what is happening around me, helping me to work on my personal development and change my mindset. But the greatest satisfaction comes from being able to work with people who are developing day by day and, together with me, achieving the highest results.

 

7. How do you motivate staff to meet performance standards?

I work extensively with staff on mindset and subconscious programming. All clinic staff participate in weekly individual and group coaching sessions, which assist them in reaching their full potential. We also discuss priorities and tasks in these sessions, which helps the staff members, as they have told me that they have changed their way of thinking as a result of the sessions. I always manage to make them realize that their success depends greatly on how they view life, and that our role is to see life as the most beautiful challenge.

 

8. Despite your efforts to ensure perfection, have you had any dissatisfied patients? If so, how did you respond?

As in any business, there are dissatisfied patients in the medical field as well. Most often, patient dissatisfaction arises from a lack of communication either between the doctor and the patient or between the call center department and the patient. But we resolve patient dissatisfaction by explaining that we focus on patient satisfaction and strive to resolve any issues immediately so that the patient leaves satisfied. Our strategy is: every patient must leave our clinic satisfied.

 

9. Do you have collaboration agreements with the Ministry of Education or other medical sectors/institutions?

At present, we do not have formal partnerships with the Ministry of Education or other public medical sectors. However, such collaborations are part of our strategic plans, as we aim to attract individuals who are motivated to grow professionally and become actively involved alongside us.

We find that working with people at the beginning of their careers is particularly valuable, as it allows them to develop within our organization and adopt a healthy, responsible way of thinking and working from the outset.

Moreover, we believe that future collaboration with institutions such as the Ministry of Education or other sectors would be both timely and beneficial, as attracting and supporting young professionals is, in our view, a key factor for long-term success.

 

10. Do you participate in symposiums, conferences, and international exchanges of experience with dental clinics around the world?

We regularly participate in personal development programs, professional specialization courses in dentistry, and advanced training sessions, supporting continuous innovation and the effective use of dental laser technologies.

 

11. Do you consider publishing a book or magazine that reflects your achievements and values, while also presenting and promoting your work and methods?

Yes, I intend to write a book. I am currently in the process of documenting the methods I use to elevate our work to the highest standards, with the goal of sharing this experience with people who share the same values and interests.

My intention is for readers to experience a genuine shift in perspective, one that challenges existing paradigms and opens new ways of thinking.

 

12. Compared to other clinics in Romania and abroad, what would you say is the main advantage of Life Dental Spa?

The key advantages of Life Dental Spa include a holistic approach to dentistry, laser-assisted treatments that are minimally invasive and comfortable, and the use of advanced, evidence-based treatment methods.

Our clinical philosophy emphasizes painless procedures, the use of highly biocompatible materials, and a health-focused approach that addresses the underlying causes of dental conditions rather than merely treating symptoms. In addition, we recommend natural oral care products, free from fluoride and harsh chemicals, as part of a comprehensive approach to oral and general well-being.

 

13. We truly appreciate your generous initiative to support dental practices in rural areas. What are your plans for the future? Do you intend to expand this initiative or develop additional projects in this direction?

We aim to reinvest a portion of our profits in humanitarian projects, guided by the belief that giving back to the community is part of our responsibility. We consider education to be the most effective form of long-term support.

For this reason, we assist dental clinics in disadvantaged rural areas by providing essential dental equipment. In parallel, we are in the process of establishing a humanitarian association, with the objective of extending our support to as many people as possible who need it.

 

14. Does the reputation you have built help attract not only patients, but also professionals and entrepreneurs to your organization?

The trust and recognition we have earned over time represent a solid foundation for our continued growth. They attract not only patients who understand and value the quality of care we provide, but also professionals interested in collaborating with or joining our team.

We place a strong emphasis on personal development, performance, and collaboration, believing in collective success rather than individual achievement. This philosophy defines who we are.

As a result, we foster a dynamic working environment that encourages continuous learning, adaptability, and personal growth. We actively support the expansion of perspectives and the willingness to push boundaries, as we believe this is how true potential is achieved.
